ACM finds that Apple is abusing its dominant position with the Apple App Store
The Dutch Consumer & Market Authority has established that Apple is abusing its position of economic power by imposing unreasonable conditions on app developers. Among other things, the ACM accuses Apple of forcing developers of dating apps to use Apple's own payment system, charging them 30% in costs. Moreover, Apple prohibits app developers from referring to cheaper payment systems. The ACM forces Apple to adjust the unreasonable conditions.
The Consumer Competition Claims Foundation notes that the European consumers are the actual victims of Apple’s behaviour.
